EU-Project EUROPLANET creates database

From Manuel Scherf, Graz, who is the operational manager of the NA1 Europlanet project, we got the following letter:

Dear colleagues!

The EU-Project Europlanet RI http://www.europlanet-ri.eu/ plans to establish a database on ground-based observatories for a better cooperation between researchers, and also amateur astronomers. For the evaluation of ground-based facilities, we have developed a questionnaire, which can be found under http://europlanet-na1.oeaw.ac.at/index.php?id=2.

The database will go online in near future on the Europlanet-website. For further details, please look at the website

I am pleased to invite you to fill out the questionnaire for implementing your observatory into the database (you need only to fill out the fields that you want to fill out).

We feel, that this is a good idea to help further organization and planning of observation campaign, such as the last big PLUTO campaign from the 14^th of Feb 2010. Take part in the survey and fill out the questionnaire!
