Occultation of TYC 1343-1615-1
by the Ring System of Saturn
on the morning of the 15th of November 2003
In the morning hours (for Europe) of the 15th of November, 2003
the ring system of Saturn will pass in front or the star TYC
1343-1615-1. That is the same star, which is occulted by Titan a day
earlier. For Europe, the situation is partly in twilight, but for most
part of central and western Europe the beginning can be easily seen. The
two images are calculated by XEPHEM and are generated for 5h 10min UT
and 6h 00min UT on the 15th of Nov. The calculation has been done
for Munich in central Europe. The position of the star is the larger
grey circle, the moons are fainter.
